Meet the Founder

Hi, I’m Robin Bliven — educator, advocate, and founder of Connected Growth LLC.

I started Connected Growth because I’ve walked alongside families, educators, and students who just needed someone to really listen — someone who understood the unique needs of Deaf and Hard of Hearing learners, sensory disabilities, and the special education process.

As a certified Teacher of the Deaf with over a decade of experience in public schools and virtual instruction, I’ve seen how powerful access, advocacy, and collaboration can be. I created this space to offer just that: expert support that’s compassionate, clear, and deeply committed to helping every learner thrive.

TESTIMONIALS

  • "Robin has been an incredible advocate with my daughter. For three years we tried to fight the school system with no luck. We hired Robin and all of that changed. She was able to show the school that though my daughter was successful in some areas, the overarching failures year after year were causing gaps that were not closing but getting wider and wider that could not longer be ignored. Yes she was smart, but she was struggling. Robin was finally able to get them to listen and see her and not just the data. I would recommend Robin time and time again".

  • "Having Robin on our side has been an incredible gift. My son (fifth grade) has struggled in school since Kindergarten. I have often times felt alone in my battle to get him the accommodations that he needs to be successful, until Robin stepped in. She has been on our team for over 2 years, fighting alongside me, attending our 504 and IEP meetings, advocating for Jaxson in ways I never knew were possible. She speaks the language of the school system, where alone, I did not. I remember telling her, "I have a feeling that I know what he needs in the classroom, but I dont know what my options are when it comes to his IEP." Robin was able to translate all of my concerns into a well written, well articulated language that only someone with special education experience would understand. She has made me feel comfortable and confident advocating for my son, while reminding me that even though these times are emotionally draining, I'm doing the right thing. I remember in one particular meeting, after hearing all of the things my child "couldn't do" , I was in tears. Robin stepped in and said in front of a panel of educators "I want to tell you that you are a GOOD MOM. GOOD moms fight for their kids, and I know this is hard, but please know that we see you, and you are doing a GREAT JOB." That sentence alone meant more to me than anything anyone else could say. Robin is a powerhouse and I feel incredibly blessed to have her on our team. I am forever indebted to her for all of her hard work and am happy to say that my son is finally receiving the accommodations that he needs to be successful. "

  • "Having Robin on our team to help us navigate the IEP process for our daughter made all the difference. When we didn't think anyone understood our little girl's struggles, Robin not only understood she was able to help the other people at the table understand. We spent years trying to get our daughter the help she needed on our own. Looking back, everything would have been easier if we had Robin from the beginning. "
